This NASCAR racer model was created as the co-star of a 1.5 minute animation. This was my first use of Blenders ability to use UV maps in post. For the final animation this allowed me to control precisely how the “stickers” effected the ray traced reflections as the car moved through it’s environment.

Here’s an animation showing the model..

And a small part from the animation itself. For this shot I used Blenders game engine to animate the cones. Considering this whole project was done on a VERY tight timeframe and budget, I’m pretty happy with how it came out. And more importantly so was my client!

And the last bit…

All in all a fun project.
